Matt is an experienced safety case author. He has personally delivered high hazard Modification and

Preliminary Safety Cases and authored key supporting documents (Hazard Schedules, Fault

Schedules, HAZANs, Protection Schedules, ALARP Reports) for large scale nuclear new build Pre-

Construction Safety Reports. He also has extensive experience verifying Periodic Review of Safety

documents. As such he has a proven track record for delivering complex, high hazard safety cases to

time and cost.

Through his links with other nuclear safety professionals Matt has the ability to

deliver small and medium scale safety cases independently, or can work effectively as part of an on-

site team delivering large projects.

Matt is a highly experienced and effective HAZOP and HAZID chairman. He has chaired Keyword

HAZID and HAZOP studies for numerous clients, including Magnox Ltd, SL Ltd, EDF Energy and

nuclear defence clients.

He provides a full HAZOP service; including production of briefing packs (including limited Site walk

down and, where necessary, ‘redlining’ key references), on-the-day workshop facilitation, and

production of formal workshop minutes and HAZOP/HAZID reports.

Matt has several years’ experience working in the pre-concept design phase for a major nuclear site.

As such has extensive experience facilitating ‘optioneering’ (multi-attribute analysis) studies, writing

business cases and compiling high level capability requirements.

He provides a full Optioneering service; including production of briefing packs (including limited

capability requirements capture), on-the-day workshop facilitation, and production of formal

minutes and Option Selection Reports.

He also can provide technical authoring for business cases

and other technical documents.
